This page explains what personal information Burger Bar Crescent collects on this website, why, who helps us handle it, and what you can ask of us. We only ask for what we need to serve you.
Who is responsible
Burger Bar Crescent, 1465 Crescent St, Montreal, QC H3G 2B2. The person in charge of protecting personal information is the owner of Burger Bar Crescent. For any question or request about your information, write to info@burgerbarcrescent.com.
What we collect and why
- Catering requests. Your name, phone, email, company if you give one, the delivery address, the date and time, your order, and any allergies or notes. We use them to prepare and deliver your order and to contact you about it. We email you a copy of your request.
- Gift cards. Your name and email. We use them to send your receipt with your gift card code and to check the code when you visit. Your card payment is handled by Stripe. We never see or keep your card number.
- Table bookings. Bookings are made with OpenTable, under OpenTable's privacy policy. The booking window on our website is OpenTable's own page, and it may use OpenTable's cookies.
- Visits to the website. Like every website, our host receives technical information such as your internet address and browser, to show you the pages and block abuse. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
We do not sell your information, and we do not send you marketing emails.
Who helps us
We share information only with the companies that run parts of this website for us, and only what they need:
- Cloudflare: hosts the website and blocks attacks.
- Resend: sends our emails, like the copy of your catering request.
- Supabase: stores catering requests and gift card records, in Montreal, Canada.
- Stripe: takes gift card payments.
- OpenTable: takes table bookings.
- Google: runs our email inbox.
Some of these companies may handle information outside Quebec, for example in the United States. They protect it under their own security and privacy rules.
How long we keep it
- Catering requests: two years, then the website deletes them by itself.
- Gift card records: six years, for our tax records.
- Wrong PIN tries on the staff page, with the internet address they came from: one day.
How we protect it
The website uses an encrypted connection. Only the people who need your information to serve you can see it, and the staff page for gift cards is locked with a PIN.
What you can ask
You can ask to see the personal information we have about you, to correct it, to delete it when we no longer need it, or to withdraw your consent. Write to info@burgerbarcrescent.com and we will answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
If something goes wrong
We keep a record of every privacy incident. If one could cause you serious harm, we tell you and the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec, as the law requires.
Changes
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and its date.
